The October Cars & Coffee draws a crowd at Abingdon Spares!
The weather was much better than forecast, it was actually a beautiful fall day here in New England. We had a great crowd of over 50 cars and lots of good folks to go with them. Coffee and Donuts supplied the energy for lots of car talk, the one's we shouldn't have sold, the one's we should have bought, and the ones we wished we never owned! Old friends meeting up, and some new friends being made. For some it was their first time here, and of course for many it has become a regular stop on their schedule. Abingdon Spares is always glad to host these events, we have a large parking lot that all our neighbors agree to empty out for the morning so we can gather the cars for Cars & Coffee. As the collector car hobby seems to be becoming more and more about expensive auction prices and multi thousand dollar restorations, these low key gatherings of car enthusiasts are really what the old car hobby is all about. Everyone enjoyed themselves, the weather cooperated, and all the cars got home ok! Here are a few photos of the day.
