Cars & No Coffee draws a crowd!

Cars & Coffee draws a crowd! Abingdon Spares Cars and No Coffee with Wayne Carini had a great turnout, great weather and a good time was had by all. The comparison of the Pre-War Triumph Super 9 with the Ford Model A was very interesting and both the car owners enjoyed explaining the similarities and differences of the two cars. The Super 9 is like a 7/8 scale Model A, with the steering wheel on the right hand side, of course! Both cars provide a great look back at the early days of motoring, you can see how much has changed, and yet how much is really the same, just improved. Wayne Carini drove down in a beautiful Aston Martin DB5, an outstanding example of a great British GT. Besides the cars that were the stars of the day, there were many beautiful British sports cars joining us this day. We even had an early Land Rover and a very early VW with the highly sought after "patina". Great little VW that should remain as it is! Everyone wore their masks, these are becoming a fashion statement, unfortunately, and it was a very enjoyable and safe gathering. Our thanks to Neville Wardle for bringing the Super 9 and Bill Brauch for bringing his Model A, and of course to the ever gracious Wayne Carini for giving us all something to wish for someday! Many thanks to all the folks who drove down in their classic British cars and even to those who brought the daily driver (hopefully their project cars will be with us next time!), Hope to see you all back next time! Here are some photos of the day.
