A brief history of the car from the owner: Serial # 18950 , it was a rolling chassis and boxes of parts when I got it . I was told that at one time it was a drag car with a flathead Ford and then a small block Chevy engine . The frame was nicely boxed so I left that to stiffen the car , it now has full MGB front and rear suspensions and brakes with Wildwood dual master cylinders and MGB wire wheels . I also replaced the ash framing and repaired or replaced the body panels before repainting them . The engine is a rebuilt , high compression MGB with a full synchro transmission . It also has all new wiring and plumbing throughout and low back MGB seats that have been recovered.
Cosmetically I tried to make it appear as a MG J2 Trials racer from the thirties . It’s as much fun to drive as it was to build .
Thank you Michael for sharing this very interesting "hybrid" MG!
