February's MG of the Month!

This is our first, of many hopefully, MG of the Month! This 1950 MG TD is owned by Walter Taylor of Ontario, Canada. The TD is finished in Sequoia Cream with Red Connolly Leather interior. It has its original 1250 cc XPAG engine and all numbers matching components.

In Walter’s words:

I purchased the 1950 MGTD on April 1st, 2002. Currently I only have previous ownership records dating back to 1988. A detailed and meticulous frame off restoration by the previous owner began in 1988 and it was in July of 1992 when it went back on the road as a restored vehicle at 0 miles. Upon purchase I received and have retained all photos, invoices, receipts and details related to the restoration. It is most interesting to note that many parts had been purchased from Abingdon Spares then located in Walpole, New Hampshire

A complete new body tub and red leather seats/panels had been purchased from Brown and Gammons Ltd., Baldock, Hertfordshire, England. In 2020 I had the engine rebuilt by Wolfe Mountain Competition “T”s., located in Ontario, Canada and was provided with all the Engine Build Data. I am a member of the Ontario MG 'T' Register Inc. and the New England M.G.T Register Ltd.  

The TD has received many awards over the years. In February of 2004, by invitation, it was on display at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

It is absolutely a dream to drive.
