Installing a Brooklands Wheel on a TD or TF

Installing a Brooklands Wheel on a TD or TF

We recently acquired a very nice, late 52 MG TD. Being a fairly original car the original steering wheel had begun to separate from the rim, so we thought we would upgrade to a Brooklands style steering wheel.

The removal and installation went as expected, no major issues, and what follows is a step by step of how to remove the original wheel and install the new Brooklands style steering wheel. This is based on our own experience, and may not apply to every MG TD, obviously. It is provided as a reference only.
