The 2020 Connecticut British Reliability Run!

The 2020 Connecticut British Reliability Run!

The Connecticut British Reliability Run for 2020 was held over 3 days, from September 18 - 20, 2020. The run this year was 3 One-Day runs, unlike previous years where it was one central location for the 3 days. Once again Abingdon Spares provided sponsorship support, and participated in the 3 days of touring! Due to the format this year of returning to the same starting point each day, it allowed me to do the "hat trick" with the MGs. Day one was the 1972 MGB GT, day two was the 1952 MG TD, and day 3 was the 1977 MG Roadster. All three cars completed the day's run without an issue, emphasizing the well known 'reliability' of the LBC's!
In fact, the run averaged 10 - 12 cars per day, and there was not one problem with any of the cars, all that went out returned safely to home.
The most important part of the run is of course the fundraising for the charity, Paul Newman's "The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp". We have raised over $20,000.00 on the last two years of CTBRR, and we hope to increase our fundraising again this year. Donations are still coming in so we hope to have an update on the total soon. Thank you to all who contributed to the fundraising.
The daily runs provided many great opportunities for cruising with other British Car owners on the scenic back roads of New York and New England. We attracted some new teams this year that used the one day rides as an introduction to the Reliability Run, so maybe a silver lining after all! We are hoping to be back to the previous format, with the option for a one day ride on Day 1 next year. Click here to learn more about the run and its charity.
Here are some photos of the run.
